Bio

José Alberto Inzunza Favela, better known as Joss Favela, is a renowned singer, songwriter and producer originally from Caitime, Sinaloa, Mexico. His artistic versatility is reflected in his successful career, which includes multiple nominations for the prestigious Latin GRAMMY®and GRAMMY®awards, all before the age of 31.

Since childhood, Joss demonstrated an innate interest in music, beginning his musical journey at the age of 9 with the guitar. His creative talent led him to compose his first song at the age of 12. His path in the music industry began in 2004 with his participation in the reality show "Código Fama", marking the beginning of his outstanding career. Previously, he had recorded two albums under his birth name.

Successes, collaborations and awards

His compositional skills shone as he collaborated with artists such as 3Ball Monterrey, while nurturing his own creations. In 2012, his compositions for groups such as La Arrolladora Banda El Limón y El Recodo catapulted him to recognition. His artistic influence also included hits for artists such as Julión Álvarez and Gerardo Ortiz.

2016 marked a milestone in his career with the release of his album "Hecho a Mano", garnering accolades and valuable nominations. This included a coveted GRAMMY®award. In addition, his achievements were recognized by the title of "Composer of the Year" awarded by ASCAP for three consecutive years.

In 2019, he presented his second album "Caminando", which included notable hits such as "Me Hubieras Dicho" and "Pienso en Ti". His influence further transcended by being recognized on the prestigious "Forbes 30 under 30" list in the Music category. This highlights his lasting impact on the industry.

In 2021, he released his third album "Llegando al Rancho", which earned him more nominations and success in banda music. Then in 2022, he honored his father with the release of "Aclarando La Mente", an album that pays tribute to norteño music.

In addition to his music, Joss has served as a mentor on talent shows such as "La Voz" and "Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento". His versatility and contributions have positioned him as a leading exponent of regional Mexican music, which is constantly evolving.
